Do you love your iPhone? We sure love ours – it’s completely changed our lifestyle. Not only can you use it to stay connected with friends and family, but with an active Wi-Fi connection and a bunch of fun apps, it seems like the only thing it doesn’t do is the laundry! But are you getting the most out of your iPhone? Your local Apple tech support gurus are here to show you some epic hacks for enhancing your smart device. Read on to learn more.
Adding location reminders is an easy way to stay on top of your daily activities. Need to send an email when you get in the office? Or do you need to remember to stop by the grocery store on the way home? A simple notification can alert you when you’re in a position to act.
Open the “Reminders” app and make a note. Then turn on the “Remind me at a location”. It will take you to a menu where you can set the exact place you want to add. If you want your car to act as the location, select the option in the menu. When you get in your vehicle, your phone will talk to the connected Bluetooth devices and send you the alert.
Waiting for a phone to charge can be a hassle. Maybe you’re not near the charger, or maybe you need to move around a bit. Whatever the situation, there’s a hack for that. You can charge your iPhone faster just by turning on the “airplane mode” while charging.
One of the most frustrating aspects of having an iPhone is app clutter. Your device can pretty quickly fill up with apps, especially if you have smart components like Nest or Ring streaming to your phone. That’s why it’s ideal to create nested folders. A nested folder is a single folder that contains others.
First, put your iPhone in toggle mode, which allows you to move the position of apps on the screen. Then, select the folder you want to nest and slide it over to the other folder. Because this method takes advantage of a glitch in the iOS 9.3 software, you may have to try it a couple of times until it works. If you want more info on nesting files on other versions of the iOS, we can help you with that too!
