I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with a 5.7″ screen to better understand the whole Android platform and why it has beaten the iPhone for many younger users. Well, I have to say that the larger screen and speed of the Note 3 is very impressive. It replaces my iPhone and my iPad. Reading email, texting, surfing the net and the larger keyboard are the major pluses over the iPhone. Where its a little awkward, is in actually using it as a phone. It’s a little unwieldily in that department. But I only spend a fraction of my time actually talking on the phone. I still use my iPhone primarily as a phone, because I’m not ready to switch over yet. Plus iPhone has Facetime, Airplay and more apps which is important to me. Apple is expected to release a new phone or two in October that will address the larger screen issue. Let me know what your thoughts are.
