With Apple’s new iOS10, you get a Smart Home app that could potentially change your life. As usual, the innovators at Apple have created an app that is simple to set up and easy to use.

For use on the iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, Home is Apple’s one-stop app intended to serve as your household command center. Home offers a simple way to manage all of the connected products in your house. Home controls functions for things—like lights and door locks—and puts them into a single app.

With the Home app, you’ll have a customizable main screen that will list your favorite scenes and accessories for easy access. In the settings section there are options for changing the name of a scene also adding additional users— so trusted friends and family members can access your house, too. In the Rooms section of the app, new accessories can be easily added.

There’s also a feature that can be set up based on your time and location—turning lights on at dark or cranking the air conditioning so it’s comfortable when you arrive home from work. How cool is that?

Also, with the new Home app, you can set up additional devices like air conditioners, heaters, air purifiers, humidifiers, cameras, and doorbells.

For example, Home can be set up with a Scene like, “I’m home” which opens the garage door and turns on the lights. Another Scene titled, “Goodnight” can be customized to lock doors, change the temperature and turn off lights.

Sounds pretty amazing, right? Yeah, your home just got a whole lot cooler.
